Andriko Palmowski received his medical degree from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in 2021, where he is now employed as both physician and researcher at the department of rheumatology and clinical immunology. Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, which was rated No six of the world’s best hospitals in the 2021 Newsweek rankings, is one of Europe’s largest university hospitals. His MD thesis focused on the generalizability of trial results in rheumatology. From 2019 to 2020, Andriko was a member of the Cochrane Collaboration. Andriko is co-affiliated with Section for Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Research, the Parker Institute. At Section for Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Research the emphasis of collaboration focusses on promoting the principles of clinical epidemiology. His clinical epidemiology training cover topics such as biostatistics, evidence synthesis (incl. systematic review methodology), comparative effectiveness research, and ultimately translating the clinical research findings into optimal clinical practice.

Andriko’ s previous scientific achievements revolve around pharmacoepidemiology in rheumatology. Currently, he is investigating aspects pertaining to the efficacy and safety of glucocorticoids in the treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases with an emphasis on the identification and description of risk factors for osteoporosis related to glucocorticoid therapy. A second research interest of Andriko is meta-research in rheumatology.
